Welcome In Astwood Bank we have combined Fund Raising and Fun and this has become the key to the success of our Carnival which since 1988 has raised over £190,000 for local charities. Astwood Bank Carnival is all about Community involvement bringing together the local schools, the cricket club, various social and self help groups, the churches and the pubs to create a fun atmosphere within the fund raising events that run throughout the year.  Carnival Day is the culmination of these endeavours. This year marks a departure from our usual format and if you have the time and the inclination to make comments or suggestions, please let us know what you do like and don't like. Important Notice - For 2010 the format and arrangements for our Carnival have changed! It will now take place over two days; 10th and 11th of July and will include the procession, fun run, teddy bears picnic and other exciting events at the Carnival Field and locations around the Village.  See the Events Diary for details.
